Nevermind was the first CD I ever purchased. Ill never forget getting money from mowing lawns as a kid, going down to tower records and buying it.  Does anyone else remember how big those cardboard boxes were that CDs came in?

That said, pink Floyd was an obsession for me at one point. Gotta vote pink Floyd here.

Watched the Wall in as many states as I have ever been. Floyd is a life-changer for me and most of my friends.

All of them were wastes except for the one that Junta came in. It featured Pollock art that isn't anywhere else.

It features Esther, Fee, Milly, and Floyd on it.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

From the mid 80s until ~92/93 I covered the walls of my bedroom with cd longboxes.
That was one of them.

The long boxes were seriously unnecessary.

They smelled like an environmental disaster but they were implemented so that record stores wouldn't have to get newer, shallower bins for cds.

sls.stormyrider

and - to make it harder to rip off cds.
someone had to invent those damn inventory control stickers.
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

PIE-GUY

RJ is right on this one... They were designed to fit record bins. Two long-boxes next to each other take the same space (but a bit thicker) as one record. An environmental mess, to be sure, but marketing genius. Without the long-boxes, CDs would not have taken off like they did. Record stores would have been reluctant to stock them.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

The first time I did acid I listened to Animals and watched The Land Before Time with the tv muted. Needless to say, I'm voting floyd.

The Land Before Time?
