technical notes:
Using SoX, I adjusted the speed/pitch of the recording.
I used the (FOB) AKG 414 source (shnid 86094) as a reference.
It's probably not totally completely perfect. But it's wicked close.
And it probably won't get better than this until we get a transfer straight from the DAT,
without the cassette generation. But who knows if or when the master DATs will ever be available.
I also added gain using SoX. I added +0.5 dB to set 1 and +2 dB to set 2.
The advantage of having the "master" cassettes made post show is that the set 2 cassette had overlapping material.
There was a cut in "Ha Ha Ha" for a tape flip. But Side B started with the beginning of "Ha Ha Ha" again.
I was therefore able to seamlessly splice together the two tape sides, and form a complete and uncut set 2.
You won't hear the splice at all.
However, the cassette for set 1 did not have any overlapping material.
Therefore, there was a very small cut (for the tape flip) in the crowd noise between "Julius" and "Camel Walk".
This cut was patched with the following source:
(FOB) AKG 414's > DAT (@ 48 kHz)
http://db.etree.org/shn/86094
The (FOB) AKG 414 source was used at this location:
d1t05 - "Julius" - [09:14] to [09:17]

Aug 3.0 makes an appearance in 1.0.
bump for 18 years since my first show :phish:
I think there's still a handful of seeders at bt.etree.org. if for some crazy reason you didn't download this back in March when I first uploaded this source, you'd be even more crazy to not download it now.
happy 18 years :beers:

I've been so busy at work, I wasn't even thinking straight until the email from phish.net popped up to remind me :) there I was, sitting at work listening to Europe '72 not even realizing what today was. of course, I switched it up as soon as I saw that phish.net email...

I hit 19 years in a week and a half (7/13).
I was thinking yesterday that it'd be cool to hit a show on the 20th anniversary. hopefully :phish: cooperates.
Nice congrats on the anniversary, k+...I hit my 23 the other week and I got an email from Phish.net saying Happy Anniversary, now is a great time to donate $23 to phishnet :|
