technical notes:

Comparison with shnid 628 (http://db.etree.org/shn/628)

This is the same recording as shnid 628.
Even though shnid 628 is labeled "AKG 396's > Sony TCD-D7", the DAT used for this
transfer was labeled "AKG c460b/ck62's", which is what I have labeled the source in this info file.
The two spots of minor digi-noise that are noted on shnid 628 were NOT present on this DAT, and
are NOT on these files.

The very beginning of "Chalkdust Torture", however, was missing.
I used shnid 628 to splice in the missing portion.
As it is the same recording, I did not need to do a cross-fade.
I lined up shnid 628 and this new transfer to the exact sample, and I cut
shnid 628 exactly where this one came in.  It's a clean splice and completely unnoticeable.
Strangely, the left/right channels were swapped on shnid 628, relative to this new transfer.
For the 5 second splice, I swapped the channels on shnid 628,
so that it would match perfectly with the new transfer.

shnid 628 was used for the following spot:
ph1995-12-15d1t01 - "Chalk Dust Torture" - [00:00] to [00:05]

I also smoothed out a level adjustment that occurred in "Chalk Dust Torture".
This was during the following portion:
ph1995-12-15d1t01 - "Chalk Dust Torture" - [00:24] to [00:32]
