I don't know where you live (that's a lie. I do.)
I don't know if there is an election in your city/county/district/state/etc...
But you should get your ass out and vote today.

THIS
I will be heading out around lunch time.
Portland, ME will be voting today to legalize :smoke: for those 21+......baby steps
Voting for affordable housing in Austin today. That's the big one. Everything else on the ballot today are Texas constitutional amendments. We amend our state constitution far too much, imo.

Voted last week via mail in ballot.
I've voted several times already and plan on going out again after lunch...

The bill passed in Portland yesterday - 67%! It will now be legal to posses up to 2.5 oz in the city of Portland for those 21+.
The local mayoral vote is too close to call. The Republican candidate is currently up by 84 votes. :-o
Everything passed in Texas, including an amendment to fund water conservation that was endorsed by the Sierra club and many environmental groups. I'm starting to thing Wendy Davis has a chance next year.
We elected a chump instead of a complete asshole here in VA so that's progress, right?

good news
the long list of phone calls during dinner from "private caller", "unknown number" and bizarre area codes will stop after today (thanks, caller ID)
bad news - it will get worse again very, very soon.

At least she's happy and healthy.
who replaced Eric Cantor?

Brat.
A "Tea Party economics professor."
Which sounds a bit like "military intelligence".

Let's be fair: he's a libertarian leaning, free market, anti-immigrant...wait, what? Nothing libertarian about being anti-immigrant. Kinda hard to square with the whole free market thing too. Still, I don't see how he could be worse than Cantor.
But, sls, if you meant as House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) took over his spot after he resigned (as Majority Leader, not his seat) following his loss in the primary.
I meant his seat, but Majority Leader is actually more important. From what I remember, McCarthy isn't as hard line as Cantor, but we'll find out.
well, it would be difficult to be a bigger prick than Cantor, but I suppose it's possible
Ted Cruz is trying
congrats Oregon, DC and Alaska!
nice job
