Yes! So glad this thread now exists.

Lots of names being kicked around for my Tigers gig.

I like the idea of Mike Maddux, or Brad Ausmus  a lot.

O's need a DH and #1 pitcher.  I think we'll be able to find the first......I'm confident we won't be able to find the second.

I never wanted to punch an 11-yo in the mouth more than this kid.

Brian McCann's agent, B.B. Abbott, said Monday that his free agent client is interested in the Yankees.
New York's catching situation was an offensive nightmare in 2013, so it's no surprise that player and team are already making eyes at each other. Abbott said New York is "certainly a place that is on Brian's radar. How could it not be? You've got an historic franchise and a great park, knowledgeable fans and a chance to win, which is what every guy plays the game for." McCann received a one-year, $14.1 million qualifying offer from the Braves on Monday. He will decline that offer and try to cash in on the open market.

"knowledgeable fans" is the lolsiest part of that.

Can't wait for more showdowns at home plate.

A close second would be "a chance to win". That is, unless they are able to get out of aroid's contract.

And to jimbo, I saw that kid at the parade. Nice kid. Not sure why you'd want to punch a happy 11 year old in the face. But you're a philly fan, so I guess it makes sense.

Yeah, notice he didn't say "best" or "most loyal" or "most respectful"...
Is this still Wombat?

A couple of days late on this, but I'm happy that the Tigers went with Ausmus.
Not much managerial experience, but he just feels like the right fit.
I hope I don't regret saying that.

Davis, Jones, and Hardy all win silver sluggers!

Yeah, I've been working my ass off, so I've been scarce around here this week, but I really wanted to chime in my support of this trade.
At first, I was both upset, and shocked.
Then I realized that Prince is so hot and cold, and has never come through in the clutch. He also sucks defensively.
Kinsler will be a welcome addition, though I'm not sure what that does to the rest of our line up... presumably Miggy back at first, Kinsler at 2nd, maybe push Infante to third?
It's all up in the air, and I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see Infante dealt before we leave for Florida.
Heat up the stoves kids.

The deal gets even more interesting if the Rangers can deal Andrus then sign Cano.

Both players are kind of over rated so it's more a matter of lineup flexibility now.
