Keynote had some good stuff.

New iwatch you can make calls without the phone thats pretty big.
Wasn't too impressed with the iPhone 8 or 8+. They look like the Androids with the now full curved screen. iPhone X looks pretty cool but 1,000 bucks...cant afford that one.
Taking away the home button is interesting, kinda saw that coming.
The personal facial expression emojis is creepy
wireless charging is nice addition. Need that on the magic mouse 2
All I know is these phones are going to be a headache and very expensive to repair. Moving to OLED curved screen you can expect a $400+ screen repair for up to 6-9 months after parts start hitting the market.
Taking away the home button may not even make it possible with how the 7 uses a software button.

Basically if you buy one. Get insurance or apple care. It will be worth the investment

Thinking about the iWatch but probably not going to get that either.
Didnt realize the OLED were that much more for screen repair, good to know.

To give you an idea, Samsung only uses OLED
S7 (non edge) $150 part
Edge $240 part
iPhone 7 $30 part
7+ $40 part

S8 screens are comparable in price to the S7 edge.

Watches are super expensive too due to parts availability, the screens for the current iwatch is ~$120 for 38mm or 42mm. Get apple care if you get one!

Anyone upgrade to High Sierra? I have a 2016 Mac+ running on the original OS it came with, El Capitan, and it's perfectly fine.
The last time I upgraded was from Snow Leopard to Mavericks on my old MBP and it slowed my system down to molasses, so I'm skeptical.

Running a system that new, I'd totally do it.

I'm no where near that new so, I'll be holding off.

I have a late 2015 iMac and High Sierra is zippy on it.

I have a 2012 macbook pro I wont be upgrading until I get a new one.

PIE-GUY

Late 2013 iMac running el Capitan - slow as hell to boot, but pretty good after that. No need to upgrade from my perspective.

Just rolled into MacOS Mojave.

Tempted at work.
No can do on my home mac but that thing is basically toast.
I'm looking for a new one after their press event on 10/30.

Yes. Dark mode.
There was already a Dark Mode in Sierra/High Sierra.  I know I've used it, unless this is even more "dark"
