Ft. Lauderdale, Florida – Today, Jam Cruise 6 confirms trip dates and makes its line-up announcement. This year's annual floating festival will leave Ft. Lauderdale on January 4, 2008 for a 5 day / 5 night music and travel adventure. With over 20 bands and 2000 passengers aboard the MSC Lirica, the luxury cruise liner will make stops in Roatan, Honduras and Costa Maya, Mexico.

So far, Jam Cruise 6 has confirmed accomplished guitarist Warren Haynes, Michael Franti & Spearhead, New Orleans funk legends Funky Meters featuring Art Neville, George Porter, Russell Batiste & Ian Neville, progressive bluegrass band Yonder Mountain String Band, new-funk favorites Galactic, Grateful Dead re-creators Dark Star Orchestra, jazz organ trio Soulive, reggae architects Toots and the Maytals, soul sister Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Everyone Orchestra conducted by Matt Butler featuring Jon Fishman, Steve Kimock & Jeff Coffin, high energy jammers Perpetual Groove, B-3 organ-fueled blues-rock quartet Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, electronic loungers Lotus, west coast rockers New Monsoon, the West African skewed Toubab Krewe, the inspired Colorado outfit The Motet, the thumping soundscapes of DJ Harry, special guest Karl Denson, and many others still to be announced.

I missed this whole thread...wtf?  I would love to go, have always wanted to go...last year looked real hot, esp. with Claypool...but this year (08)...hothothot...YMSB, Galactic, DSO...mmmm, should be about vacation time by then too (paid vacation!!@!!!!!)....have either of you been?

yeah, i had been keeping it in the back of my mind for the fiance and i, but since my relationship came to a screeching halt...i could afford to go by myself.  i'm sure i'd be surrounded by brand new friends.  that lineup do look awful yummy....maybe my son could spend a week at "camp grandma's"
