Actually, someone made that comment in the show club after I referred to Possum as being a blues song.  I had never really paid that much attention to the chord progression.  I guess that's why they use it during special guest appearances so much.  It's easy for the special guests to pick up.

Possum is very similar in structure to Skynyrd's 'Swamp Music'.

yes I did a long time ago.  Although its played fast it does have the I-IV-V  structure.  Killer blues dood!

I wouldn't say it's a blues song, but does have a blues progression..

Right I don't know much about theory but don't many rock songs that aren't really "blues" per se use blues chord progressions?
