well, the spain - s. africa match is in extra time right now.

2 things: 1- spain has lost its air of invincibility... 2: s. africa is way better than people give tehm credit for

i am so glad that brasil woke up and put the US back in its place.

first half, brazil was not there, second half, US stayed in the locker room.  It was just like 4 different teams plaing in one game. 

US has never, and i don't think will, understoood the importance of execution on designed plays, ball movements, and formations.  And i belive this plays back to the fact that Americans have not fully accepted the game as a much more "head strong" game than any other major US sport.  Our International soccer is based on the "HERO" aspect vs. the strategic, demoralizing defeat that is required to excel in this sport...i was really excited during the first half, but i was even more dissappointed in the second half. 

Oh well...

not that its a secret or anything, but USA v Mexico at 3pm CST!  on TV only Telemundo has it (in spanish) and their sister channel mun2 (in english)...
