huge amounts of fun were had.
played like a very hot warm-up show.
wolfman's was the standout from the first set, and antelope was nice too.
favorite part of the second was tweezer and fluffhead.

highlights for me
dwd was nasty, dark and dirty jam
gbott-very groovy and of course mike owning it.
maze, also had its dark jammy style
Halleys- smooth sailing, wish it would been longer

tweezer>fluffhead- mike was dropping planets on CA!

Holy fuck, you guys.  That was the sickness!  I didn't realize Trey had a new guitar until he pointed it out, but that Tweezer! Something was up, Trey was sounding like some other guitar player, and the tone was disgustingly pure.  Trey was eating it the fuck up.  His squeals, sustains, and screeches were really dead on and fucking loud!  I was on the floor, and everything was loud.  There was some crazy fucking energy in that room, don't let anyone downplay it.  And it's only going to continue.  And Mike is a monster from outer space sent to destroy us all, as usual.

:dwd: way above average, beautifully paced.  :maze: insane.  approaches festival 8 :maze:, :tweezer: are you fucking kidding me?  jam of the year.  done, end of story.  :joy: beautifully played, lovely. :fluffhead: masterful, a breeze.  :loving cup: faggetaboutit.  it was a big fucking deal.
