Knowing that I'll have a job in September and won't have to move again feels great!
He was kidding somewhat, but he meant well, and I couldn't be happier. To have a 'real', non-contract, job, will be a huge relief. Hell, this place even has a real honest-to-god pension plan IN ADDITION to their 401k.

damn...

congrats

That reminds me of a conversation that occurred in my house last year.

Piper (then 2years old) walks into the bathroom as I'm getting out of the shower. She is holding a doll baby, wrapped in a blanket. I call her mother to retrieve her and close the door against the draft. As Amy (my wife) enters...

Piper (pointing to my anatomy): What's that?

Me (taken aback): umm it's uh...

Amy: that's Daddy's Penis.

Piper: A penis?  My baby's sleeping.

She then turned and left Amy and I laughing over piper's ability to make such a conversational turn so quickly.

I like being unemployed because I can do nothing but sell shit on eBay all day, then go see Feist in Ottawa tommorow, then go to rural Quebec and spend a 3-day weekend on a farm in the middle of nowhere with 2 friends I have'nt spent time with in 10 months.

I also applied for 2 jobs yesterday, so everybody reading this keep your fingers crossed for me.

Dude, before I met you I was money at the tables, never lost, probably made a few thousand.

Then we went to AC and I lost $400 in about 20 minutes.
