Rocked the 70K yesterday!
Was hoping for Top 10 but was 12th overall.
Went off course at a crucial point and had to backtrack to a timing mat and my drop bag.
That cost me a few spots, but it's all good.
Really enjoyable run and great weather!
Onward!

You're insane. That is all.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

I am humbled in the presence of greatness
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Amazing stuff Aug.
How much music do you cue up for a run of that magnitude?
Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Thanks! I actually had a two hour playlist for a particularly hard stretch made, but I didn't need/want it.

Good galloping Christ, that's a long run.
Quote from: Eleanor MarsailI love you, daddy. Actually, I love all the people. Even the ones who I don't know their name.

Good galloping Christ, that's a long run.

Honestly, it was the "easiest" LR that I've ever run.
No real bonk, no wall, just chipping away at each leg.
Going off course destroyed me.
We were ahead of goal pace at that point and I became deflated. Rebounding from that mistake and tacking on the extra mile was the ultimate test.
I'm going back next year and will run even stronger and am going Top 3.

emay

44 miles!?  :-o

nice work! congrats!
