Allman Betts Band tonight.

Girl at the ski hill told me a couple weeks ago that I look just like Devon Allman.
I told her I'd prefer Greg
Enjoy the show.

I could see that.

more importantly, who does she prefer?
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Forgot to reply to this. The way I see it these guys are trying to keep the music of their fathers alive, and honor them through this band, and obviously growing up on the road and three of them with each other (duane betts, berry oakley jr, and devon allman), the songs are in their blood. It seemed to be a mix of devon's solo material, duane's solo material, some ABB tunes, and 2 tracks (Autumn Breeze, and Down to the River (title track)) off their new upcoming studio album they put together with this group specifically. The crowd devoured the ABB tunes of course, And Duane Betts took me on a journey with his solo during Jessica, Dreams was given room to breath, and ending with a Dire Straits cover (Walk of life) was a little unusual, but they nailed that too. Oh, and the guy they got playing slide was on point all night. All three guitarists brought something worthwhile to the mix.

So yes, if you're a fan of the ABB, it's totally worth checking out.

Setlist:
All Night
Melodies are Memories
Left My Heart in Memphis
Blue Sky
Ain't Wastin' Time
Autumn Breeze
You Got Lucky
Multi Colored Lady
Jessica
Mahalo

Encore:
Down to the River
Dreams
Walk of Life
