Can we talk about the Dead?  I'd love to talk about the fucking Grateful Dead, for once, can we please discuss the Grateful FUCKING Dead!?!?!?!

No one I know is going to be motivated to go to this.

but one should never under-estimate the power of Dave fans, I suppose....

Exactly, I can't imagine any of my MN friends will be very excited about this line-up......... but none of my friends are DMB fans, and like you said there are A LOT

of Dave fans out there.....
Bring in the dude!

I saw sharon jones and the dap kings in charlottesville a few years ago - Killed it! Great show. She's got some funky white boys in that band - especially the drummer.
Just two whiskies, officer.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

You guys know the rule... If you weren't there, it wasn't anything special...

Anyone who ever played a part, they wouldn't turn around and hate it.

Not adam deitch, but he kills it as well - Saw him at all good last year with Lettuce, and he also did a short afternoon improv set with Sco and Medeski - Sick!

Don't know the name of sharon's drummer though, but he looked young. Definitely brought the funk.
