3g Iphone / itunes help needed

Just got this im from a friend. They have one of the new iphones.

HELP.. itunes won't recognize my iphone. I have updated itunes, switched usb port, tried 2 cords, rebooted mac, rebooted phone... help!

any suggestions? They are using a macbook with the latest version of itunes installed.

or you can see it and nothing's working?

Check the connector on the phone, maybe try running disk utility.
