I thought she destroyed. I mean, I’ve watched the whole thing three times and laughed throughout it. Is it awkward when she makes fun of the humorless bitch sitting a few feet away? Sure. But it wasn’t particularly offensive.... unless you are inclined to believe everything the White House says... because she definitely called them all liars.

They didn't seem to mention that point in their outraged shrieking.  [lip]Glossed over it.

These Republicans are trash, and the media is complicit in amplifying their bullshit.  If I didn't care about y'all I'd laugh at how fucked and Orwellian things have become.

I honestly don't expect the US government to be functional again in my lifetime.

right, on both counts

He couldn’t sell steaks or vodka or water or college or ties or Eric, but he has helped you. He’s helped you sell your papers and your books and your TV. You helped create this monster, and now you’re profiting off of him.

On the other hand there are going to be real heroes that come out of this.  People that were incorruptible and unassailable.

https://t.co/Vbc62AY68R

Can we just take a step back and stand agape at the forest? We have likely never seen a president in the kind of legal jeopardy as @realDonaldTrump is in the history of our republic. Consider:
* Unlike Nixon, Trump has no credible claim to executive privilege.
* Which means, unlike Nixon, he will almost surely have to answer questions about whether he obstructed justice. A special counsel has been convened and has around 50 *topics* he'd like to cover with the President.
* Most assume that the president is unable to sit for such a deposition without committing additional crimes (perjury)
* The president already kinda sorta admitted to obstructing justice on national TV
* The former FBI director took contemporaneous notes which suggest obstruction
* The special counsel is *ALSO* investigating whether the president and his campaign colluded with a foreign government to influence an American election.
* 19 people have been indicted in connection with that investigation.
* One of those people is the president's former campaign manager
* 5 people have pleaded guilty
* One of those is the campaign manager's longtime deputy.
* The president's personal lawyer is about to be indicted. He's been investigated not by a special counsel, but by the SDNY for campaign fraud and bank fraud.
* The FBI has raided that lawyer's house and office, collecting reams of documents they claim are not privileged.
* The president's personal lawyer is also being challenged, in civil court, for a hush money payment he made to a porn star who claims to have had sex with the president.
* The porn star's lawyer has sued the president directly for defamation in his personal capacity.
* The president has also been sued for defamation by a woman who claims the president sexually assaulted her.
* That suit has already survived a motion to dismiss.
And that's what is ALREADY ON THE BOARD. We're not talking about Emoluments. We're barely talking about things that president has done *since he took office*. These are just the legal actions already in motion against the @realDonaldTrump
* OH, and I forget that the Democratic National Committee sued the Trump campaign UNDER RICO for conspiracy and tresspass.
Nixon was dealing with ONE break-in. Clinton was dealing with a couple of extra-marital affairs. U.S. Grant had some corrupt underlings.

... @realDonaldTrump is in the actual suck. When you step back, you can see that Birnam Wood has Dunsinane COMPLETELY SURROUNDED.

the two details that the author of that hasn't considered are
-the House has to impeach the President by majority vote. Unless the Dems take over in November, it's just not going to happen. The Dems were in control when Nixon was POTUS and the country wasn't nearly as polarized as it is now. There was no "fake news", etc
-a 2/3 majority in the Senate is required to get him out of office

The saddest part is none of that matters at all to his supporters.
I don't think the dems have the balls to impeach him even if they win majorities.
This guy is f'in b#lletproof.  Our only hope is that he resigns to save face and realizes he would much rather go back to being a dirty old man/ rich playboy.

Yeah, I've thought about this, and I don't see this ending cleanly at all, like with a peaceful transfer of power at the end of his time in office. Whether he completes 4 or 8 years or not, it will end in a very loud and messy way.

Yeah, I just got around to watching it and was expecting some kind of massive thrashing of the press.  I mean, I thought she was really good, but it was pretty tame as far as media criticism goes.  I’m not quite sure why they’re upset.

The right, on the other hand, lives in a state of perpetual apoplexy.  So I’m not exactly surprised that they’re throwing a fit.  It’s kind of their thing.  Which is odd ... Their party controls all three branches of the federal government and nearly three-quarters of state legislatures.  They own what’s left of this broken country, yet they see themselves as oppressed victims who just can’t catch a break.

Sad.

But not unexpected.  The party platform is transparently founded on white victim-hood, or at least the perception of persecution.  If they give up the perception, the jig is up.

His new crack lawyer, Rudy 9/11 Guliani just went on Hannity and said Trump paid Cohen back the 130k.  :hereitisyousentimentalbastard

It got better today, can't wait to see Sanders handle this one.
Cohen took out $774,000 in home equity loans.  Per Giulliani Trump has paid back $460,000, not $130k.   Who else needed an agreement.  My guess is they are following the money and that is why they are worried Cohen will flip.

I bet Sanders goes "Lawyers need to make a profit, the rest of that money was his payment for services rendered"
