I can't help but say there has been progress. These shows pick up where late fall left off IMO.

Exactly the takeaway for me, at least from listening to the stream. It's true as faux and others have pointed out that they aren't all the way "there" yet, but I've been trying to be a more glass-half-full person lately, and the fact that they are playing this well this early in the tour has me pretty excited. Just a solid show all around from what I heard, which was about 90% of it.

They aren't rushing jams, Trey is finally letting things develop organically, and they've clearly been practicing. Only time will tell, but this is exactly the kind of foundation they need for the rest of the tour, so I'm pretty optimistic. Too bad $$ and geography are going to keep me from seeing any of it in person, but oh well.

interested to hear this.......

btw, haven't we seen this 2nd set before?  It looks AWFULLY familiar for some reason.......   Gore '09?  or RR?

Now this I can get behind....picking up from fall and pretending Holiday run never happened.

There were a few moments in the MSG run that I saw some glimpses. On the whole, I agree with you.

I'm definitely seeing some improvement. I like where the band is at right now.

Making me really want to hit PNC...

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

Anybody else think it's kind of strange there have been no debuts yet.  Not complaining, but I expected to hear some new tunes.
