The Godfather of Soul vs. The Godfathers of Funk.

I prefer funk.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

This is s tough one, for sure... but everyone know how I'm voting.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

The night JB saved Boston:
#

JB was the first concert I saw with my parents. Where would we be today without the Godfather of Soul?

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I was thinking the same thing.

James Brown's band is the tightest band ever. There is and has never been a tighter group. The dude fined his band actual money every time they made a mistake in rehearsal. That's how you run a motherfucking funk band.

James brown isn't just the godfather, he's the mafuckin KING.

* McGrupp has been listening to James brown since he knew what music was. (thanks mom!)
Just two whiskies, officer.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

WhatstheUse?

Bring in the dude!

That's why I said 'godfathers of funk'.

But yeah, JB is superbad.
