You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

They were better in the 70's, their 80's and 90's just ruined everything good they ever did.

Steely Dan gets my vote....

Says the guy who's listened to 2 and a half GD shows from the 80's and seen only a few youtube vids of the 90's. The GD shows I attended in utero (JFK and RFK summer 89) were fucking H33T! The 80's and 90's get a bad rap but that's like voting against phish because of coventry and 3.0...I guess there's an argument for it but you're basically not seeing the forest for the trees at that point

Sometimes the things you say...
It amazes me that you are capable of keeping yourself alive.

I'd take any 90's  :syf: over any Phish I've seen since 1995 aside from Big Cypress.

Honestly, I'd literally murder someone... Kill Them Dead... if it would guarantee me an opportunity to see even just a 90's Grateful Dead show again.

I've never had even the slightest interest in going to see Steely Dan play a show and I REALLY LIKE Steely Dan.

If the Dead's career was just 1973 and they never played before or after that year, they would still destroy Steely Dan on every level.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

If the Dead's career was just 1973 and they never played before or after that year, they would still destroy Steely Dan nearly all other music on every level.
