oh, wait. you mean in this poll.

its funny because if you compare Hendrix/Garcia from say '65/66 to 1970 in terms of technique and music Jimi was light years ahead of Captain Jer.  The Dead's saving grace was their longevity something Hendrix couldn't grasp unfortunately.

I agree the  :syf: gestalt was far greater then the Jimi Hendrix Experience and his various side projects i.e Gypsys Suns and Rainbows/Band of Gypsys.  Had Jimi lived I'm sure he would have expanded his ever evolving gestalt, supposedly he had sessions booked w/ Gil Evans for the Fall of 1970 before his untimely death.  Like my appreciation for harmony vocals, I too appreciate more then one individual gestalt(however I still voted for Jimi :wink:).
