From NPR:

http://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2015/06/02/411473508/how-well-can-you-hear-audio-quality

I got a 5/6 using my (Aperion!) speakers and home stereo amp, at relatively low volume.

Strangely the one I missed (mozart piece, not a well mixed/mastered recording IMO) I selected 128kbps because it sounded "brighter" to my ears.

What did y'all score?
Just two whiskies, officer.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

I got 4/6 just using the shitty speakers on my Lenovo laptop. The two I got wrong I guessed the higher bit rate mp3 if that counts for anything.
You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.
Mister Charlie told you so.

6/6

They made me listen to Katy Perry  :frustrated:. Can I get some kind of compensation for that?

Did you hear that, Trey? He's getting annoyed. Enough with the effects already.

I'm one that typically saves higher/the highest resolution I can because storage is cheap, so why not?

however, the thing with these types of "tests" is that it is testing whether you are able to tell the difference when sitting and concentrating on it.  when considering what format to purchase to keep, you should be considering how much of a difference does
320 vs. wav matter to you and how often will you be listening that closely for it to matter?

it's why I think services such as spotify, apple music and amazon music are great.  I can stream a lot of music I enjoy while running, doing yard work, etc.  I can then choose which albums that I'd like to listen to on a format such as vinyl.
Music is meant to be heard
