Also, glad we cleaned house yesterday - there's already a janky waiting room system in place for today's onsale.

:-D The virtual waiting room is every Red Sox fan's worst nightmare and has been for years.
That being said, I grabbed a pair of seats just off the field for both nights. On top of our housecleaning from yesterday. I may or may not have $1300 in Phish Fenway tix right now...
Actually lookin like I won't be able to make these, got some pending shows here that I'll prob end up working
I'm in +1. Tickets = purchased.

Wendell, it's time to get serious about the party bus. This is shaping up to be the best party ever.

As some of you may know, I work at Harvard. We have an office that actually works under the same director as my office that gets tickets for employees to purchase at a discount or without fees for various entertainment around the region. Today I take a look at their site and they have Fenway Phish tickets! Never thought I'd see the day...
Anyhow, if anyone is interested, I can get up to 4 EMC Club seats for Saturday's show (7/6), which are actually pretty sick for baseball games. Basically right behind home plate, just above the grandstand, and covered. $104 each.

Yeah...again, the offer is out there if anyone needs. I'm not sure how long they'll be available. The site is only available to Harvard employees, and I have not gotten a good read on how many heads actually work at the University (and haven't already gotten tickets, like me)...

What part of town should we stay? We are flying in after work on the 3rd and plan on doing some tourist stuff on the 4th then rage.. We have some friends staying in Back Bay.

if you can stay in the back bay you'll be close to Fenway and the 4th of July festivities. Really, you can stay anywhere in the city and you'll be close to everything. Boston is a small city relative to most "big" cities. Just avoid Roxbury and you'll be fine. The seaport district is the new, happening part of the city but it could be pricey.
I'd like to recommend eating at Saltie Girl. It's very good, also very small, so you may have to wait a bit.

Weird...I've been living within 10 miles of Boston for over 25 years and have literally never heard of this place.
That being said, there are a ton of good places to eat in the city. This summer, we also have multiple places that are opening that will essentially be run by local breweries. Trillium has their new Seaport location and will have their Greenway popup open again downtown, Nightshift has their new Lovejoy Wharf location in the city, and there are many others....

It is a glorious time to be a beer drinker in the Boston area.

The W is a Marriott property (platinum elite member so free upgrade) and seems to be centrally located at a reasonable price. 4 stops on the T. Should I pull the trigger or look elsewhere?
It's right in the theater district and near Chinatown, lots of restaurants. The bar is a happening place. Convenient for the T. A couple stops the other way and you'll be near Haymarket. If you have a good deal there, I would take it.
