iXXX for work/car/kitchen - not interested in lossless - go MP3.

FooBar for Hard-Core Listening to FLACs.  There are ways to to set it up so its like iTunes.  And it plays FLAC.  Or CDs in the player...

Agree with the foobar, but I've never really fussed with switching it up too much.  I've found a few useful plugins over the years, but I like the simplicity, utility, and user friendliness right out of the box.
