Title: Hey folks! Put me to work...
Post by: drvinestein on December 02, 2006, 12:25:38 AM
Still new, I read some of the threads here, got a good idea of what's going on.

Any grunt work, fact-finding missions, etc. that I can do soon to kind of get my feet wet?

Also, did I miss a link anywhere to a tutorial about the proper way to type the information before it is entered?  I can do some basic HTML, but I'm lacking knowledge in Java and CSS stuff.

Anyway, if there's something I can do immediately to help while I read and learn, just say so.

edit:  I'm diggin' the cool-daddy title and phishies under my name!  :-D

Check some of the types of pages and look at the code and see if it makes sense.  Use this link to learn the basics.  Most of what we're doing is explained right in here http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents)

it's similar to html and how you write in forums sometimes in some ways.  Not difficult to understand.
