Pretty sick and app is on the way he says!

QuoteHey guys,
I've collected every show from the spreadsheet and built a streaming audio web app. This eliminates the need for downloading and managing MP3s on your hard drive. In addition, you can also link others directly to shows or songs! Here are a few of my favorites:
http://www.phishtracks.com/shows/1995-12-09/you-enjoy-myself
http://www.phishtracks.com/shows/1997-12-29/tube
http://www.phishtracks.com/shows/1999-09-14/gumbo
http://www.phishtracks.com/shows/2012-06-07
You can also browse by song, for instance
http://www.phishtracks.com/songs/nicu
http://www.phishtracks.com/songs/mcgrupp-and-the-watchful-hosemasters
The site still has a few kinks to be worked out, but I've been keeping it to myself for too long :). Nearly every show from the spreadsheet is there, including remasters where appropriate. I'm missing about 25 shows, which I'll be adding this week.
The next main priority is to get the site working smoothly on mobile devices. Eventually you will be able to create a user account and create custom playlists, rate shows, etc. The site is under active development, and I welcome any suggestions or thoughts you all have.
Thanks for checking it out!

wowww! this is perfect for my listening pleasure at work. Use that phishshows.com now but sometimes hard to skip songs and the stream always takes a while to load.

wish he would add the source info though.

Undermind

yeah good point about the source.  I'm looking forward to the mobile app for the commute!

You're worried about source info from an mp3 stream?

thank you.  I didn;t want to have to say them.

depending on the bandwidth of the server, it will probably be low bandwidth streaming.  I'd assume if this gets public and a lot of use, it'd be expensive any other way but I am not technologically knowledgable on these matters.

it's a great option and I can assume a lot of work went into it.
I think this is what I heard about a while ago.

with stuff like this popping up and the availablity of the spreadsheet and so on, I wish Phish would just allow shows to be upped to the archive, but that will never happen.

How can something like this exist, if they won't allow it at the archive?  I'm sure some of the available streams on this website will be SBds, yes?

Yeah, I mean not for the streams sake but for going back and downloading it later sake. I would just like the know what source he is using for the certain show he upped to this archive. A lot of them say Remastered too. Just wondering what source he is using that is remastered because it sounds pretty good, better than the one that I have.

I think it is something Phish chooses to ignore and have always pretty much ignored.
Sugarmegs was out there for a while (may still be) that had preety much most shows streamable.
I don't know the answer to the SBD question.
I think it is a great option for people to have for stuff like commuting, like undermind said.  Even home listening to grab a jam someone is talking about.  Phish has every right to not be on the archive, but I think it's great that fans take it into their own hands to create personal archives and share it.
I think projects like this make the community better.  I wish people would seek out lossless sources, but it probably will never happen again.

the post above says they are grabbed from the spreadsheet.  I don't know what the spreadsheet looks like but you can probably figure it out from that.

ahhh I see now. Thanks. Didnt catch that through the first read through. Pretty sure hes talking about this, which gives you the option of downloading the source txt file with the show (for most shows). http://www.phishows.com/ or this https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p8WKkpP-TKpO1VnQgcff6EQ

Undermind

yeah the spreadsheet is https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p8WKkpP-TKpO1VnQgcff6EQ  There are Charlie Miller and remasters tabs at the top.  You could look at those to find lossy downloads.

Well I got beat to the punch! This is actually my boyfriend's website, he finally decided to go public and I was going to post it here today for him but I guess going public on reddit was enough.
I'm so glad you guys are liking it! He has put a TON of work into it and does more everyday so if anyone has any feedback or suggestions, please let me know and I'll pass it along, he'd love to hear it. And keep spreading the word!

Wow cool Hoodie!  The only feedback I can think of is the source info listed somehow...  Looks great other than that!

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?
