yeah, it was my first attempt at a paella. Turned pretty good but a bit too soupy... added too much water before putting it in the oven. It will be better next time... Probably would have been better if I could ever follow a recipe, but I just can't. Recipes aren't for people like me.

Still, the flavors were pretty damn good. Just a bit too much liquid.

Did you use meat or seafood? or no meat?

chicken drumsticks and thighs and Andouille sausage, plus red and orange pepper, onion, rice and spices. Browned the chicken first. It was pretty damn good, I gotta say. Will be better next time.

Sounds awesome! Jealous, but I did have some nice veggies and chicken in a marinara sauce and then baked. All fresh, local stuff. Mmmmm.

Sub chicken broth for the water next time and a pinch of real saffron (maybe you did, but the real stuff is really worth it).
