I'm going to call and reign down on somebody over the phone.  They will feel my wrath...   maybe.

Seriously though, I am going to call.  Maybe I can talk them in to letting this one slide, or maybe cutting it in half or something

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

usually cruise ships are the highest rates for mobile phone calls, i'm not surprised their data plan is too - like $4.99/minute, which is what i'd pay in Tanzania (hence, my affinity for my unlocked 2.5G iPhone).  i think you normally pay $.02/kb for international, but like i said i don't know how much they raise that for cruises...

One of the things I'm actually glad I inherited from my dad is his ability to lay the smack down on some customer service reps. If you legitimately feel like you've been wronged, you should not let big corporations have their way with you. You are the one paying them, and thus you have every right to express your rage, and basically to tell them what needs to be done.

Having said that, I've been on the other side of the equation - dealing with nasty customers - and it's definitely not fun. You don't have to be nasty to get your way, just polite yet forceful.

Basically, give them hell, but choose your words wisely and be respectful.
Just two whiskies, officer.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

And, to be honest, if there is one plus to this shitty economy, it's that I've been noticing(and hearing from friends) that companies are bending over backwards to keep their customers.  Customer service reps are more willing than ever to try to help you out if possible.  I hope this works out for you.
