'The Hobbit' is finally over most of the hurdles it's gone through on the road to being filmed. It is slated to start filming in February, with Peter Jackson now on to Produce and Direct.

He's been singed on to Produce it for quite awhile now, and Gillermo Del Torro was supposed to Direct it. But Del Torro backed out and it the went to Jackson.
