While I understand the Godfather is technically a trilogy, in no universe does III make my list.

III does not exist, after seeing it I quickly downed a bottle of vodka and sparked a fatty in hopes of erasing all traces of it from my memory.

This is tough....it's not like bands or albums where you have a CD collection to go through.  Going to forget a ton of movies.

List sent. I threw in a couple oddball picks and intentionally left off some movies that I know are classics but I've not seen in so long that, honestly, I forget what my exact opinion of them would be. Also, there are other classics I just haven't seen.

Started working up my list last night.

This should be interesting.

Predicting Empire Strikes Back to make it to the final four.

Also, Should we maybe take over the Movie Club sub forum?

yes it is. but don't worry. perhaps unbelievably, that is far from the most astounding entry.

sub forum is a good call, so the match-up threads don't clutter things up around here.

and yes, that's a good prediction. Empire, plus plenty of Kubrick and Coppola.

but with only six lists in so far, there's little else definitive yet...

I'm such not a movie buff that it would be dumb for me to try to make a list of 50 movies.

1. the big lebowski
2. dazed & confused
3. Mitchell (mst3k version)
4. Yanni - live at the acropolis
5. ???
