I'm a bit confused about whether other bands are compatible with the Sport - website looks like they are but I thought I read they may not be.

compatible, yes - just may not look as good necessarily...  but all bands of the same size fit all lines of watch.

Any truth to the rumors about Apple watch heart sensor not working on people who have tattoos near their wrist?

Got it yesterday - arrived a day before the promised shipping window - and LOVING it so far!!  The build quality on this is just phenomenal, and as I've been a watch-wearer my whole life, it's really a natural progression for me...

You've got 2 weeks to put a report on my desk about the best apps.

Unfortunately those won't be out until the official Watch SDK ships and you can have real apps ON it that load quickly, but that's probably in the fall...  so in the meantime, the stock apps kick ass, and if you've used Dark Sky before, it's just as great on the Watch.  Right now the killer app is that it is just a natural extension of the Apple notification ecosystem, and does so seamlessly.  If you exercise (or want to), those abilities are awesome too.

Shipped! Should be here on Monday.

Completely unrelated, I may take a sick day from work on Monday.

Monday's a holiday - oh, wait. Maybe not in the Great White North.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul
