2018 Winter Olympics
« on: February 12, 2018, 10:37:51 PM »
I'm not usually a hardcore olympics watcher but this year I've watched the mens/womens snowboard slope style, mens downhill, women speed skating and the women halfpipe so far. With Canada already nabbing 7 medals, I may be getting sucked into the whole olympic fever this year.

Every 4 years I am astounded at my interest in curling. It's just so mesmerizing.

It's a lot of fun to try too if you ever get the chance.

I've heard. Unfortunately not a whole lot of curling rinks (fields? pitches?) in suburban Philadelphia.

Gotta be a greased lightpole joke in there somewhere.  I'm just too tired to think of it.

Check the bars. In North Mexico/America, we call it shuffleboard.

Shaun White.  Fuck.  That's one way to do it...  i thought Ayumu Hirano was impressive as hell though, and he's gonna be leading the next generation.  would love to see him actually pull that 1620 they mentioned...

That was unbelievable. To go out and put down that run with that much pressure is just incomprehensible. ::insert Tommy Wiseau "What a story, Mark" gif::

The best Jerry, the best!!!!  :rawk:

I'm a full supporter of the #metoo campaign but when you read the allegations of his former bandmate, it just sounds like he treated her like any other member. He was a little perv and showed her vids like 2 girls and a cup. While disgusting, I wouldn't deem it necessary to sue my friend for showing that to me. It's not like he exposed himself, he was juvenile and acted like plenty of my friends back in their teen years/early 20s.
He slapped her ass once I guess but I'm sure he did the same to the dudes in the band. Get over yourself, you got kicked out of the band, move on.
