Allman's with Ratdog at Great Woods on 08/16.  I actually was a tad disappointed with Ratdog.  The setlist was ok but Bob seemed to just go through the motions, songs were slowed right down, maybe I was expecting too much.  Allman's killed it just like I thought they would.  Got to meet RR and his lovely gal, which made the evening even better.
Mike Gordon in Vermont the night before, which was a highlight of the Summer with the lengthy soundcheck and Page showing up for a few tunes.  Mike even brought his wife up for a couple of tunes during the soundcheck.
Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

- beck, black keys and manu chao--

did you catch manu chao?
one of my favorites.... been wanting to see him live for sometimes, now.

i did. he was good. though very different from those first two albums of his, which sound much more home-made and kind of odd and mellow. the live show is much more aggressive. which wasn't bad. but i think i only recognized two songs.

A-Train

Just saw Mike blow the roof off the FOX Theater. Anyone on here who is not considering checking out this band will seriously miss out. Danced my ass off all night long, probaly more than at any post hiatus show I went to.Still got tonight at the Mish.Gosh I love Colorado.

Here's days 2 & 3 of Harley Fest pictures.

I saw Tea Leaf Green twice, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, The Black Crowes and a few minutes of ZZ Top.

Black Crowes were just fantastic.  Kuroda put up some great lighting for them. The show totally rocked.  I was front row taking pictures.  Weather was perfect.  Hard to beat.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

i should have posted this a few weeks ago, however the last show i went to was STS9 and umphrey's mcgee at the Roseland in NYC. STS9 was terrible, but umph tore it up. my wedding got in the way of going to the next three shows and man, they were some good ones.

Nice!  Looks like a good time.  How'd the recording turn out?

It was a great time.
The recording suffers from the surrounding drunken mayhem that increased throughout the night...
