wewl, good and bad here.
FINALLY a record store worth somethin opened up here again, after most had closed over the last 5 years.
sadly, the only reason ive managed visits is to sell, lol.
never got a hold of a player since i moved here, so in desperation for a few bux i handed over a few LPs to this nice hippy guy who owns the store. he hooks up decent cash so...
so, let go of ye ole SMithsonian Jazz collection. lol, RJ/Ig/barnse-- how many of those did the old store go thru?
also, one ParliamentFunkadelic dr funkenstein :(
ryko rerelease clear vinyl perfectr condidtion Hooterroll :(
oh yeah and a 3 piece Zeppelin bootleg from knebworth. sticker was still on it from when i bought it from Bohanons (?--OLD RIchmond classic store, closed around 90?) for $30 in like 88.

depressing.
doubtful he'll get anythign else of mine seeing as most of what i have here is my Dead/GD related stuff. hooteroll, well...  it was pretty , but "non-essential", lol.

whoa slim. Hang on. If you got vinyl you want to get rid of, myself and plenty of other vinyl noobs on here would be more than willing to buy stuff off you, and likely for a little more than you'd get from the stores. Let me know next time you're looking at dumping some stuff.

What this guy said!
My records are my media for music. They are to be played. Loud and as often as possible.

Started this morning off with American Beauty. Followed that with America Eats Its Young. Gonna put on the Blues Brothers Made in America next. I think that runs me out of albums with America in the title.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Not familiar with it.  Certainly don't own it.

Big blow up rawk success for Green Day a few years back.
I'm glad you don't own it, in fact I was banking on that.
Dookie on the other hand...

every one is a classic

I guess we know what you'll be doing in a few days
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Just two whiskies, officer.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?
