Because the 2nd leg of the tour will start either in July or August, and won't last longer than 2-3 weeks.  This isn't pre-hiatus fellas.  They've fallen into a set pattern of touring, and it seems they like playing solo shows in between.

Soph, how can you base their touring model after 1 year of tours?  I hear you, but I don't feel like there is any real pattern to anything from them anymore.  Other than, lots of Tweezer and Tweeprise.  :)
Hoping for 3 nights of Hampton...

Anyone else hear about these Greek theatre rumors that popped up on mr minors thoughts?

If 2-3 nights to open 2nd leg were at the gorge and then followed by 4 at the Greek I would possibly need to reconsider my CO plans... San Fran is a days drive for me and with 4 shows hard to resist.   Although I know I would regret not following through with CO

Phish 3.0 ver. 2

New and Improved!

3.0 version 2 comes with even more abruptly annaounced tours than version 1. Also a FOH crew that seems to know how to master the sound so that it sounds good on LP releases.

Sadly 3.0 version 2 contains a less folical keyboard player.

I would do 4 at the Greek if I had to skip Telluride.

berekely greek usually only does fri, sat, sun shows.  a 3 night run is possible but a 4 night @ the greek would be unprecedented, i believe.  dmb did a 3 nighter there last year or the year before.

Not that this is news, but the Berkeley Greek is f-ing sick, I highly recommend hitting it for anyone that can swing it.

I heard the Greek rumors as well. But 4 nights? I doubt that. The rumor is that its going to take place August 5-8, and Telluride being the 9th & 10th. I don't see them not taking a day off, but maybe they are attempting to keep massive amounts of ticketless phans from flooding Telluride.

A few buddys of mine saw the Stinky Cheese there in '07 and they said the venue is incredible. I believe it only holds about 8,000 though, so this should be a tough ticket.

8500 is what I've read, I could see this happening...

Aug 2-3 the gorge
Aug 5-7 the Greek
Aug 9-10 telluride

if so could I convince my wife to keep telluride in the plans?
I just can't see myself skipping 3-4 shows within a days drive.

pt is calling the rumored dates to be 8/5, 6, 7, & an afternoon show on the 8th, with telluride for 2 nights directly afterwards.

if you cant smell that bullshit, you should pick your nose.

i dont know if they added the dates to the rumor or if the dates came w/ the rumor, but theres no way theyre playing 6 nights in a row.

i think 3 @ the greek is the max they could play, but i have had people tell me that they dont do weeknight shows @ the greek, so that would rule a thursday night show out, if true.  id also be surprised to see them playing a 3 night run leading up to telluride.  getting the gear from berkeley to telluride wouldnt be a fun drive overnight.

i dont think the greek is impossible and it would be sick if it went down

but mr.miner hasnt proven to be a reliable source yet.

and the pt rumor of aug 5,6,7,8 @ greek is wholly unreasonable.  phish is not going to play 6 nights in a row and drive their gear from berkeley to telluride and have it set up overnight.

rumor was in 2004 that they had 3 @ greek booked for fall tour, maybe the opener.  i dont think its unreasonable that they play there, but the 4 nights before telluride thing is not believable.

id love to see phish in berkeley.

I don't see them NOT doing Wrigley simply because summer tour is over. This would be a special show and one that could very feasibly be a one-off gig. With the current length of solo tours we've been seeing, any one of them could still skip off for a couple weeks and be right back at it for big events like Wrigley or Indio.
