God I hope they never play another acoustic set.

 :? :-(

I also thought the acoustic set was one of the really special moments of the year that people who were in attendance felt a real connection with the band as well as the whole crowd. I just felt so lucky to be in that place in time. Not that I want to see them do it often, or it wouldn't be special. and I would never want them to play acoustic in place of an electric set, but sunday afternoon 1st set of 3 for the day worked beautifully I thought. They would be rehashing too many of the tunes if it was a regular occurrence though I suppose. Once a year in Indio? I'd be cool with that.

I agree.  I didn't hit 8, but at Oswego they did a long stretch with Del McCoury Band.  I can remember sitting off to the side and really just taking it in.  Although not exactly the same, I really enjoyed it.
Hoping for 3 nights of Hampton...

  • From da streets, well a street at least.
Curtain With and McGrupps were without a doubt my musical highlights of the whole festival.  Suzy is a close third though.

my friend is a Suzy hater, and even he admitted it was incredible.

I actually would be open to other acoustic sets, anywhere.

I really enjoyed those tunes with Del too.  I was really surprised too as I hadn't heard anything about it till that day..
I'd be happy just to watch you age.

The deadhead in me loves the idea of an acoustic set once in a bluemoon.  I thought that was the best set of 8.

I could just hear David Puddy's "screaming voice" right now.... "WHERE ARE MY DATES?!?!?"
