Nice work, PG!
I went out two nights in a row myself. Modi's 50th BDay party was Friday night.
Good times.
Wife got me home safely.

Last night saw Jon Cowherd with John Pattitucci and Brian Blade. They are all amazing musicians. Blade is probably the most inventive and unique drummers out there.

King Diamond last night at the beautiful Chicago Theater.  It was maybe half sold. Never had so much room at a show there.  It was great!

Nice to hear he still out there, that's kind of crazy. Went record shopping once and he was doing an in store appearance but weren't too many people there so chatted with him a bit. That must have been 87 or 88.

Saw a band called Nefesh Mountain on Sunday. They're kinda a mix of new-grass and NRPS, I guess.

this was the closer (from a different show), which of course made me happy

Went and saw Cymande a couple of weeks ago and boy am I glad I did. They were amazing! If they come near you go see them but they tour so infrequently. But it was sick.

Crap video of a rather good one. No, I did not film this. He started with Captain Hook, my favourite song of all time. He also played Set Me Free, the Fuckerpants from his catalog.

Setlist:

Cale is 83 right now. I might make the trip to Cologne to see him one more time on this tour.
