Quote from: PIE-GUY on July 15, 2024, 09:09:45 AMFuck yes. It's a great conversation. Seriously, the best and most honest and complete, and non-publicist influenced, interview with Trey ever.

My dude. I completely agree.

That was a fantastic listen and an actual conversation vs. an "interview"
Bring in the dude!

Yep. I could have listened to them BS all day.

And, as an old guy (6 yrs and 1 day older than Trey) I love that the bands I was in during HS played the same tunes as his. Although his band was better.

Space Antelope was not that great. I've heard the tapes.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Indeed, I dug out Space Antelope after you mentioned them. It will be gathering dust for again for years.

"I used to be 'with it', but then they changed what 'it' was and now what I'm with isn't 'it' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me"

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

^ How great was the Pollock anecdote in that?
Is this still Wombat?

I love that Jim had no idea they were going to do that! I need to go back and watch for Trey tears now!

Such a good interview.

I provided Alan Paul with a few guitar related questions for Trey but he didn't use any of them  ::)

QuoteSpeaking of the Garden, did it feel like a big MSG summit with you and Billy Joel?

When he first walked up to me, he was laughing and he said, "How come everybody says I was saying shit about you. I never said any of that." I was like, "Yeah, I don't read the internet." It was cool.

QuoteHe's a legend and an absolutely welcoming, warm and ridiculously talented piano player and singer. If we get a chance, maybe we'll get him down there one time to play with us. That would be really great.

QuoteI watched the video you put together of the rehearsals and realized that you worked up a Broadway show to do a single performance.

Anyone know what video he's talking about here?  Is it available anywhere?
