Nice vocal range he finds here. I didn't realize he toured with a band this large (are tickets $100 per to support this kind of entourage?).
Dysfunction and itemized lists of people's failures are where it's at.

Oh! That! No, no, no, you're not ready to step into The Court of the Crimson King. At this stage in your training an album like that could turn you into an evil scientist.

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

I haven't even gotten to the Congos portion yet, but the Toots footage ... all I can say is school is in session.

From the imdb description - "JAMDOWN takes you on a journey back to 1980, straight into the heart of the Jamaican reggae scene, following legendary reggae artists Toots Hibbert and The Congos. The film shot in 1980 had a limited release in France and therefore remained undiscovered by the rest of the world. Since its initial release almost 30 years ago, 'Jamdown' has become what reggae footage collectors often refer to as ''The holy grail of reggae films'' due to its rarity and difficulty in finding an original copy of the film. The film contains some of the only known early footage of The Congos, performing tracks from their legendary Heart Of The Congos LP which was produced by Lee Perry at the Black Ark studios at the height of their career."

I found this link on a real cool reggae movie page - http://aworldofreggae.com/2012/02/06/full-length-rasta-reggae-jamaica-old-school-videos/

I had never seen this before. Apparently it sparked a bit of a riot.

Is this still Wombat?

Kurt Loder told me about it on THE WEEK IN ROCK.
I remember as a fan, it was pretty obvious by this point that it was Axl's crybaby-ness, not Izzy's junky-ness, that was going to kill the band.

Control for smilers can't be bought...

"Your answer is silly. What'd do you want the song to do? End world hunger?
It's a fucking Phish song, some of them are very complex compositions, some are not.

This one with its complex vocal arrangement falls right in between.
But that and a hook aren't enough so I'll let Trey know his songs have to start giving out handys." RJ
