I was a this show. Kim Deal busted a string and Joey Santiago went into "Apache" (The Shadows) while they were fixing it. a At the end of the show they announced an extra concert at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. So I partied all night with my crew and hit the shop in early next morning to secure tickets for that one too. Good times.

I dunno. The chick in that is kind of off key. HA HA!

Here's one by Phillip Roebuck, debuted today actually. Hope you all like it.

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

:hereitisyousentimentalbastard Awesome! (tune, not the taxes)

This could also go in the non-phish songs your obsessed with category; I've watched/listened to this at least a dozen times over the weekend, For All We Know, Nina Simone. The run her and the guitarist go on at the beginning is just gorgeous.

 I love Nina Simone.

brilliant cover of a Steppenwolf tune (of all things):

another brilliant cover:

and who could forget this...

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Yup, I'm hooked. Just order Live in 65/68 to see next. That 61/62 was great.

ETA: Actually just found that whole video here:

I'm a big fan of her "Emergency Ward" live lp which is where that version of "isnt it a pty" comes from. also her "Live in Berkeley" lp is great too. Not as easy to find as "Emergency Ward" But i'm sure you can find it on the ol' interwebs. Also, her "songs of the Poets" record is good too. Her covering Bob Dylan and George Harrison tunes.

Thats where this is from....
