Dweezil finally busts out "Watermelon in Easter Hay"

My favorite song off Joes Garage and dude fucking nails it too.

QuoteThis is the very first time I ever played "Watermelon In Easter Hay." It was very challenging to play on many levels. It has always been a highly emotional song for me. Matching my father's phrasing is very difficult as well.

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

I had no idea how good of a player Dweezil was till I saw him a couple years back.  Dude's got mad chops.

I used to think of Stephen Perkins as a sober Keith Moon.

We were all ready to pedal like hell to get that rocketship into orbit

Love Perkins. Have you ever read Whores? No one has a bad thing to say about him, dude is apparently the nicest guy ever.

So this dude Smooth McGroove is a guy with an awesome beard that does acapella versions of video game tunes.  I can't figure out (a) which theme from Zelda I like more and (b) which version I cracked up at more watching.  Chime in if you want, once again awesome.

Oh, yeah. I was all over that book when it came out. I wouldn't mind re-reading it actually. Love them oral histories. As far as personalities go, he sticks out like a sore thumb in that band.
Hell, I'd watch him play anything.
