I see the confusion.  I am saddened that Conan is out, they should have given him his time to get the show rolling before this happened.  As they move forward with the time change, as they have indicated, I agree with Conan's statements about it being the end of what the Tonight Show is really all about.  So I retract the first statement and say if this happens and the time change goes through, then RIP.  I hope Conan stays and Jay gets gone and The Tonight Show lives on, though.

This is actually a genius commentary.  If they're planning this, they're geniuses.  If they're not, they should do this.  It's a win for everyone.

They see a guy (Leno) who week in and week out beat Letterman in the ratings for over ten years.
