Bring in the dude!

gah

You guys are noticeably missing Neil Peart, and I know DMB doesn't get any loving here, but Carter Beauford is a damn good drummer

Neil Peart is a beast no doubt, but I don't really like Rush so that keeps him off my list.

Same with Keith Moon.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I got so worn out on those guys at such a young age. Not that they don't deserve a mention, I guess I just kind of skipped over them in my brain. I'm not a huge neil peart fan anymore, but I still think Carter is one of the best drummers on tour right now.

Also Adam Deitch, Chris Dave, and Joe Russo get my honorable mentions for "newer" drummers, even though they've all been on the scene for a sizable chunk of time now.
Just two whiskies, officer.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

Understood. Also, my favorite to see live is easily Stanton Moore.

Ginger Baker probably should have been in there somewhere.

I know Mcgrupp mentioned him, but I'm surprised levon helm doesn't get more love.
