5 was my prediction prior to the series starting.  Seeing KP healthy, I now believe it could easily be a sweep.  Luka is atrocious on defense, and I think the Celtics will make him work so hard on both ends that he's not going to have any legs for a 4th quarter miracle.  How someone can be considered by many to be a top 3 player when they do not play defense and have serious conditioning issues is beyond me, but whatever.

tbh, the biggest weakness for dallas isnt any matchup, even though it totally favors them at almost every turn, but IMHO  it's the relative youth  & palyoff inexperience of their team.
I knew when seeing them celebrate like giddy little kids in the locker room  after winning the WEstern Conference it was probably gonna be a rough game 1 vs boston.

finals snooze fest.
boston lazy had to win at home as i predicted.

idk.. i liked this boston team over the last 5 years but this year  just seemed like they got a free ride with every matchup in the east having their star player injured , and then dallas coming out off of 2 brutal series.

really wish boston coulda had at least one true test.
i still think Tatum plays with about 75% of his potential and doesnt have much killer instinct.
i want to see him win when he's actually tested.
entire team didnt break a sweat.
literally. post game interviews dry as a bone.

o well, kudos to the franchise.
i think they did a great job of sticking with players, building the team correct, not making shotgun trades, working through all their coaching changes without panic.
REally glad  ro see Horford finally get his first i think. guys a pros pro.

hopefully in next few years the knicks trade randle for a real superstar and can give them a real matchup :3

Tired of hearing that the Celtics had an easy road. We've had devastating injuries in the playoffs in nearly each of the last 7 years, no one discounted any of the teams that took advantage. This team fucking bulldozed the league all year, give them their due.

Also, Indiana is a really good fucking team, and they played better without Halliburton. If they had beaten the Celtics, they would've crushed the West winner. Look out for them next year...

agree to disagree.
this year's playoffs was a calk walk in my book.
doesnt mean they werent the best team in the league.
they proved that in regular season easily.
and like i said i credit their organization over the last 7 years for sure.
i like the celts and i think they deserved the championship.
i just think they could have won all their series this year without half their players.
i dont think they really had to try.

It was a cake walk because they were historically good.  The only team in the league that was a tough matchup for the Celtics was Denver, who couldn't get past the second round.  Doesn't matter who we faced and whether they were at 100% or 50%, they were going to get smoked in 5 games or less, with or without Porzingis.  Period.

Just gotta supermax Tatum and resign Derrick White (owners have already said they would) and we can run it back again next year.  Fingers crossed for another season of relatively good health for the team...

im not hating on the team at all.
they were a great team.
ive been a Boston supporter since they put this team together.
i just wish theyd faced some better opponets is all, or at least full rosters without injuries, but thats the playoffs for you.
getting to the post season healthy is half the battle.

Paul - how many major sport Boston area championships have you seen in your lifetime?!  i used to think i was spoiled having seen 12, which is approximately one every 4 years.  your average has to be way more often than that!

It's pretty fucking absurd...17, so less than every 3 years. But there have been 13 since 2002, basically when I met my wife, who bought me my first Pats jersey for christmas right before they won their first SB.

So blame her.

big nets knicks trade.

knicks dump a bunch of picks for Mikail Bridges.
another Villanova guy :D
i'm liking this.
Sounds like they are gonna have to drop Anonoby, hardenstien or robinson to make cap, but Randall contract up next year so... maybe it all works out by then.
