So, with the announcement of the new Live series, Fall Tour was announced.

Billy has always played The Murat (cap. 2,000 in the Egyptian Room, cap. 2,500 in the Theatre)) or The Lawn (cap. 7,500) here, but he's playing two nights at Gainsborough Fieldhouse, where the Pacers play, this fall. it has an 18K capacity. I guess the days of small BMFS shows are over?

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

He played two nights at our big basketball arena last year - just announced one night there in December with a smaller show the night before... have to have a ticket to the big show to enter into a lottery for a chance to buy the small show ticket.

He just did 2 nights at Allstate Arena over Memorial Day Weekend.  They put the stage around half court and didn't sell any tickets behind or extreme side stage.  I heard there were around 7,000-9,000 there each night.  He has big production, so he's hitting all big rooms these days.

Yeah, my hope is he's hitting Gainsborough because a show at The Lawn, outside, in October could be really cold. I hope he goes back to The Lawn for summer tour.

Not looking like I'll make any of these dates but my driving-to-work music the past few days has been the BS shows from the Ryman back in February and boy are they fuego!!
Quote from: guyforget on November 15, 2010, 11:10:47 PMsure we tend to ramble, but that was a 3 page off topic tangent on crack and doses for breakfast?

I've been listening to that Ryman run quite a bit too! I have all three shows loaded on my phone right now. I really dig the All Fall Down with Claypool on second Bass.

So after listening to the new Live Vol. 1 on repeat today at work and having the wife out of town I decided to twist one up and see what I could find on YouTube.

Turns out that Billy put the video of every song from the album on there this morning!

Here's the first, to get you started.

That Highway Hypnosis is a pretty unique jam. I loved getting to watch them play it.

Pretty excited for 2 nights of BS in Austin this December - first night at the Moody Theatre. Second night at the Moody Center. Cracks me up because I've also seen BS at the Moody Amphitheater. Yes, these are three completely different venues in Austin.

Moody Theatre is where they tape Austin City Limits TV show these days. Moody Center is the new basketball arena for UT. Moody Amphitheater is in Waterloo park - reminiscent of that downtown Nashville outdoor amphitheater but not as big.

I'm looking forward to the shows in Gainsborough Fieldhouse in October. I've always hated concerts there but my main issue with the sound was the drums always overpower every other instrument. Don't think that's gonna be an issue with Billy.

Isn't that smaller Moody show an ACL taping?

Not a taping, though I did get to be at his taping a couple of years ago in that room.

Missed my chance to see arena Billy at Allstate in May.  Next time for sure!
