Big swaths of Houston look fairly fucked.

ETA this is a fairly current NWS map of rainfall...

They're saying the peak of the flooding won't happen until Wednesday / Thursday. And to think of the people that moved to the Houston area from LA after Katrina. Beyond awful.

That's what I've been thinking about through all this. The Katrina kids, and the psychological trauma that they've experienced, and now are having to repeat. Pretty tough break.  :-(

The NWS had to update the colors on that map to correspond to the amount of rain that has fallen. Vibes to all affected.
