So are we just ignoring the song Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath on the album Black Sabbath?

Can't forget that one for sure. I'll also throw a vote in for Motorhead, by the band Motörhead, featured on their debut album, Motorhead (Even though it was originally recorded and released by Hawkwind before they fired Lemmy).

Manowar screwed up.  They put the song Manowar on the Battle Hymns album.  Manowar also screwed up by taking this publicity photo...

Phish won the fan vote handily, not that it matters. The fan vote adds up to one of the 1200 total votes. We'll know soon enough:

"This year's inductees will be officially unveiled during Sunday's episode of American Idol on Sunday, April 27th."

I think the tie-in to American Idol should tell Phish fans everything they needed to know. I'm sure the HOF appreciates the clicks, though.

I was ranting about this to my wife last night (with the upfront disclaimer that I certainly don't give a shit, trust me, honey) and, you know, anyone who doesn't think Phish should be a shoo-in for this glorious honor should have their voting privileges revoked and be pilloried in the town square. That HOF voter, in some article I read, who was like: "I hate their music"? Beside the fucking point, you clown. Grow up. Hating on Phish is about as stale as an Arch Deluxe. The haters have lost. Phish won.
