i've occasionally had the Loading bar hang on me a while when i was editing my own post, but then i opened up a new tab in the browser (as well as tried it in another browser), and browsing back to the page i was editing when it hung ended up getting submitted, it just never updated that green bar in the original tab.

Whats it say when you try?  Most likely a cookie issue.

I don't know when I collapsed it but it must've been a long time ago - because for a while I'd been thinking that the view unread posts feature was gonzo

i don't think his postcount was altered - we have no way of controlling that.  doing a check of the database structure finds everything in order.  i will do a forced rebuild of all stats, let's see if that does anything...

oh, that's entirely possible, as i switched the cutoff for that.  things are a little more balanced now, i'm still tweaking though...
