I'm just  :-o that faux's own opinion would be 100% contrary to someone else's.

If hippies can win a million bucks on TV then we can keep the show of the week club going just fine.

Hell yeah! I'm a race junkie

Let me get this straight: For all "club picks" you must u/l a seed to etree as we normally do and then up the YSI link of the same stuff (in lossy) to sendspace? I've never converted to mp3 before, anything tricky?

In this case, I agree with faux, just don't dig on the I-tunes, maybe I-Man, but that's for a different board all together....

I was wondering if anyone would catch that.
This was my first season, I'm hooked. I was rooting for those guys from the time they ran up the stairs at Red Rocks. My Fiancé got me hooked on that one.

Yeah...they were the best pair I'd seen.  The best was watching them in the Helicopter in Brazil.

Yup, both mp3 and a BT, makes sense 'cause the torrent can take a while and since we only have a week to listen and discuss people will want to get the show as quickly as possible, but it would stupid to not have a lossless option too.

And are you talking about a Scott Bakula TV Movie???? That's grounds for a smiting!!!

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I'll one-up you jedi...  Automator...  Right click > automator > convert selection to mp3.  It uses iTunes to do the work, but it's a right click away.  If I converted all the time, I'd generate one of those.  Unfortunately, it's limited to mac.  But when all of you get your new mac that can run windows when you absolutely have to, then this will be totally pertinent.

I'm getting ready ahead of time, but this will work for those ahead of me in line. What would be the prefered format and bitrate for the yousend stuff? Even though it's overkill, I'm considering putting up two versions, one that is 160 mp3, all single tracks in a zip, and one that is 128 AAC with joined tracks (only the > and -> will be joined, otherwise individual tracks), also in a zip file.

Also, may i suggest that the FLAC or SHN that isn't already active on bt.etree be seeded on Sunday evening to get a head start.

Great work on the club so far.

jedifunk

personally i would prefer 128 AAC without the gaps joined, but i'm pretty sure thats just me, and i'll take them how ever i can get them...  there's always the chance i already have too!

I myself prefer mp3 because I don't have the aac plugin for winamp (and I hate quicktime).

#29
and this is why i was proposing to do two versions. Not recomending it for everyone, but I like to offer the choice.

I am, however, reconsidering 160 for mp3 and just go with 128k. I figure if you want anything higher you can make it yourself.
