I watched Captain Marvel this weekend, one of the worst movies I've ever seen

The writing was absolutely atrocious. I didn't think Brie Larson did that bad, or any of the actors tbh, but wow I was shocked by how bad it was.

I was not expecting that as I hadn't heard anything about it beforehand and was excited to see it.
If this is love, I'm never going home..

I watched Seconds for the first time last night. Wow. What a shocking and brilliant film. I was familiar with some Frankenheimer but never got around to this one. Felt very modern and like it would fit in perfectly with todays modern art horror movement.

^ I'm adding Seconds to the list!

Last night, watched:

Highly recommended for fans of whaling, history, literature, geography, the sea, the human spirit.
Is this still Wombat?

Muppet Christmas Carol. It's the only adaptation of it that matters and I will die on that hill.

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

Cmon bro, Scrooged.

Also the George C Scott version is legit.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

My friend gifted this LP for Christmas last year (kids haven't bought in quite yet).
And then this year he dropped the CCR At the Royal Albert Hall 1970.
All I gave him in the last 5 years was Hoist.  :-[
Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

The wife and I are waiting until it's not $20 to rent on Prime. We plan on it though.

However we did rent Renfield for $20 this weekend for the wife's birthday. It was okay, but I'd suggest waiting for the price to drop or it to become free.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

I saw it.
Pretty fun. Not gonna change anyone's life.
They did an excellent job of making it accessible to non-players while delivering a lot of fan service to folks who actually know the game.

Basically exactly what I heard (Haven't seen it yet).

My friend (who doesn't play) told me it was great and I (who doesn't play) should definitely go see it

And the D&D movie was just added to Paramount+ today, so we'll be watching it this weekend!  :pbjtime:
