One of those was picking the cheaper option of hitting up the CCCC show in Portland and skipping the NYE bash in FL. That Haley's Comet was incredible but could never live up to what transpired in those everglades as the millennium turned over

Crosseyed from BC is my favorite phish jam ever. And that's saying something.

I can't find any argument against it being the greatest jam ever. It's pure patience and all 4 of them are locked in for the journey.

Any of these Cypress jams could be considered "best version ever" imo. >>>

Carini started off as a pre-recorded tape playing through the P.A. system. Phish took the stage and picked up the song from where it was on the tape and continued to play. This show also featured the first Daniel Saw the Stone since August 28, 1993 (289 shows) and the first Why Don't We Do It since June 25, 1995 (144 shows). GTBT contained a Tweezer Reprise tease. The soundcheck's Funky Bitch was sung by Trey and the Carini that followed had additional/alternate lyrics.

I ended up getting a lot of these Spring '97 tapes and this one was a great one that was in heavy rotation behind the amsterdam and stuttgart shows.  Crazy setlist for the time period!
